So yesterday was the last paper. Hmmmm let's just say I'm really glad it's over. And the interview/consultation with HPB is also over. Super relieved that whatever papers/consultation are indeed over.
Unlike the usual way of celebrating the end of papers with the girls, I went for a band concert! It's odd, cause I'm so used to spending it my girlies :( Due to everyone's different subject combination plus ending papers on different days, we had to give it a miss. Oh well. We'll see each other soon alright! Pretty please :) I'll definitely miss this crazy bunch when they head for the Malaysia trip :'(
So yup, attended a Philwinds' concert at Esplanade! Sounds of Japan II. Third concert at Esplanade for this year. Okay actually.... I have no idea why I actually came for this concert but it's good anyways :) Hehehehehe was supposed to be just watching it with Bert but in the end, he bought us the tickets but he sat with his friend instead at the stall seats.
This is the first time I spent more than $15 on a band concert :o But I only paid $20 yay thanks Bert! Oh yes, we got Circle 1 seats! I must say those are pretty good seats. Found out that Lianwei/Mr Pei, our tuba tutor in TKGS plays in Philwinds!!! Hahahahahahaha it's been 5 years already and I just found out.... Last night. Honestly I am pretty ignorant :x Sigh. Anyways, I liked Hishori Ohguri's A Myth for Symphonic Band. Bert did let me hear the piece before but.... As you might know, I am not a big fan of abstract pieces? I'm not exactly sure what's the exact genre for that piece but it feels pretty much abstract-like to me. Surprisingly, I liked that piece the best out of the 3 for the first half of the concert! Like Bert told me earlier, "Go to the concert with an open mind!" I guess it worked. Need to step out and appreciate different types of music out there. As Bert puts it, the pieces are "unnurulfriendly". HAHAHAHA he knows me best when it comes to the music I like to listen to :D
The second half was pretty interesting! The lights went out, the whole concert hall was pitch dark. Some girl behind me screamed. Need to be bitchslapped. K kidding kidding. But seriously..... Please don't scream in a concert...... K thanks bye. Back to the second half, Hiten Trilogy. Makoto Tashiro is amazing and cool! My legs were terribly numb by then. Hahahahahaha but generally, I enjoyed the concert :) Interesting way to mark the end of my papers!
Had dinner with Alvin and Bert afterwards at Burger King! Small world, isn't it? They both participated in the competition held in Beijing in 2008? Fucking small world. Caught up with Bert, all the bitching and stories. Man, I miss this bitch so much :') He lost so much weight!!! Jealous! Fatty isn't fat anymore. We should get breakfast sometime soon~
Took bus home and I was so restless throughout the whole time. I wanted to sleep but I can seem to fall asleep. Bus was not comfy enough. I really wanted to sleep *sobs* AND I SAW TWO BEETLE CARS BUT CANNOT WHACK. *double sobs*
Okay time to enjoy the rest of my holidays! I have nothing planned but I am enjoying it already :D
Another concert tomorrow at SA!
Oh yes, totally random but look!!!! I miss this boys too! Oddly hahahahahaha. I love how we 4 have the :D smile!
