Been away cuz I was working for the IT fair at Suntec. Oh gosh you don't even know what kind of pain I go through each day. I don't exactly regret doing this job cause firstly, I was working with the girls- Aisyah and Perri that made me pull through each day, sane. Secondly, the bosses were awezum. Seriousssss. Love them! And lastly, my colleagues. Such nice people to work with :) :) :)
Basically what sucked was standing for 9 hours or so. It really, really, really hurts k. I was already in so much pain on day 1 so imagine doing it for another 3 days. And then trying to convince 3456765345678 people to buy a laptop. I admit I am bad at it. But I gave it my best shot each day. Chionging to get customers each day....... Sigh. This is the real world. No unicorns, just pure harsh reality in your face. Ha ha ha ha ha omg I make it so dramatic. It wasn't that bad just that I've learnt a lot from this.
Trying to sell a product to customer may seem easy but hell to the no baby. Must get your facts right, convincing and make sure you know how to answer your customers' never ending questions and earn their trust. So, throughout these 4 days, I only convinced 6 people. You may laugh at me now. I'll be lying if I said I don't care, but hey, I know I really tried. No excuses, I suck. I am bad at convincing people. Sigh must try to improve. I did enjoy trying to convince these people......
I kinda like this job cause I can hand flyers and talk to all the cute guys in the world muahahahahaha! K kidding but yes, I got to talk to them and gosh when they reply, smile back or even a simple gesture, all the pain from standing for 234567654hours miraculously goes away! ;) I seriously thought people would just ignore me when I hand those flyers and repeatedly said, "Fujitsu for you? Laptop for 799 only" These people actually made an effort to take the flyers and smile or just say no nicely. Only a handful are rude but I don't care about them lol. It's so comforting to see people smile back at you, really, especially those who look stern and suddenly smile at you. It's true, a smile does go a long way.
My customers were pretty nice, except some. So glad to serve them cause they earned me my commission lololol! No lah it was my duty to serve them to the best of my ability. Generally friendly. One man told me I did a good job and I wanted to tear :') Cause no one told me that those few days. It's nice of them to actually come back and find me when I left my name on their brochure. These people give me hope.
